Cameran Holt, who had been on life support in the ICU after being struck in the back by a bullet passed away on Thursday night following a courageous battle.
"At 7:54 tonight God gained another angel peacefully surrounded by her family," Roxanne Spath posted on Facebook. She's no longer suffering or in pain."
Shortly after 3:45 a.m. on Sunday Oct. 27, officers from the Baltimore Police Department were called to the unit block of West Hamburg Street, where they found Holt suffering from multiple gunshot wounds after she was caught in the middle of a hail of bullets.
One of the bullets struck her back and moved to her brain stem, according to her family, and she was placed on life support, as doctors were initially not able operate on the 19-year-old due to the placement of the bullet.
The injuries left her unable to breathe on her own. It was also believed that she would never be able to talk, eat, move, or use the bathroom on her own again due to the severity of the gunshot wounds.
"Cameran's bravery is giving someone her big heart and liver tonight - that's how beautiful my baby girl is," Spath continued. "She was loved by all, down to the end and she was given an honor walk with Rein beside her one last time."
